Welcome Home

Welcome Home

For more than 50 years, Youth Emergency Services (YES) has stood with youth experiencing homelessness in Omaha—offering safety, stability, and the support to move forward.

Now, all that support is coming together in one place. The YES House at 2566 Farnam Street will unite housing, care, and services under one roof—so youth can access the resources they need, right when they need it.

In just six months, YES saw…

  • 1,020

    unduplicated youth served

  • 259

    kids aged 5 and under

  • 365

youth come to YES from couch-surfing

The Need

More youth are turning to YES than ever before. In a typical year, YES sees approximately 750 young people. But from July 2025-January 2026, we served more than 1,000 unduplicated people. The need for youth homelessness services continues to rise and we have to rise to meet that need.

While our current model allows us to meet young people across the Omaha metro, navigating multiple locations can create barriers during moments of crisis—when clarity and connection matter most.

The YES House changes that.

By bringing housing and services together in one location, YES will create a more seamless, youth-centered experience—reducing barriers, increasing capacity, and allowing YES to meet growing demand with urgency, care, and intention.

For many, this will be the first place that truly feels like home—a place to land, feel safe, and begin moving forward.

You can help create a place where every young person has a safe place to land.

The Impact

When everything comes together, the impact grows.

Today, YES provides critical services that help youth move from crisis toward stability. With a centralized location, that impact will expand—allowing more young people to access care with greater consistency and coordination.

Instead of navigating multiple locations, youth will have a clear path forward in one place—spending less time searching for help and more time building stability and independence.

The result: more young people finding safety, achieving stability, and building a future beyond crisis.

Be part of what comes next for youth in our community.

The YES House will include…

  • 32 Beds for Youth

    across 24 individual units

  • Drop-In Center

to provide a pantry and walk-in boutique

  • Community Well-Being Center

to offer mental health and job readiness services to youth

  • Administrative Offices

to host all YES staff onsite

The Ask

We are now raising the final $4.8 million to complete the Welcome Home Campaign and keep the doors open to our forever home. Every gift helps build youth a safe place to land.

  • $1,000 helps provide immediate needs like food, safety, and emergency support

  • $2,500 fully equips an apartment with the essentials needed for daily living

  • $5,000 furnishes an apartment and offers the opportunity to help decorate the space and be recognized with naming rights

  • $10,000 provides a fully sponsored apartment experience with special recognition on our donor wall

The YES House is more than a building. It represents stability, sustainability, and a place where we can confidently say to homeless youth: Welcome home.
